Good to know.
Do I need scaffolding?
For most repairs, no: we use ladders, roof ladders or a cherry picker. New roofs and chimney work need scaffolding for safety, and it is always included in your written price.
Do I need to be home while you work?
Only for the survey and a quick hello on day one. We just need access to the outside of the house, and we send photos as the work goes on.
Will my home insurance cover it?
Sudden storm damage often is, wear and tear usually is not. We take dated photos and write a report you can send straight to your insurer.
How long does a new roof last?
Natural slate can last 60 years or more and concrete tiles around 50, as long as the membrane, battens and flashing underneath are done properly, which is why we show you every layer.
Do you charge for a quote?
No. The survey, the photos and the written price are free, with no obligation.
How soon can you come out?
Surveys are usually within a few days. For leaks, we aim to make it watertight the same week, often the same day.
What if it goes wrong after you leave?
Every job is guaranteed in writing, and new roofs come with a 10-year insurance-backed guarantee. If something is not right, we come back and fix it.
